San Marino's broadcaster SMRTV has officially announced the return of the San Marino Song Contest to select the country's entry for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled to take place in Burgas in 2027.

Selection Format

The national selection will culminate on Saturday, 6 March 2027, with a final featuring 20 competing songs. Ten of these entries will be chosen internally by SMRTV, while the remaining ten will qualify through two semi-finals held earlier that week, on 3 and 4 March respectively.

Each semi-final will feature 20 songs vying for qualification spots in the grand final.

Dreaming San Marino and Auditions

The 40 semi-finalists will be chosen through Dreaming San Marino, a separate contest organized by SMRTV that includes auditions conducted in October and November prior to the selection phase. Following these auditions, a 'Stage & Live Academy' round will further narrow down the hopeful artists to those competing at the San Marino Song Contest semi-finals in March.

Previous Representation

San Marino's recently selected entry for Eurovision 2026 was “Superstar” performed by SENHIT, who represented the country in Vienna alongside British pop icon Boy George. This marked SENHIT's third Eurovision appearance, having previously competed with "Stand By" in 2011 and "Adrenalina" in 2021.
