On Sunday 30 August 2024, the Philippines will stage its first-ever National Selection Show, called Philippine Selection Night, to choose its representative for the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia. The event takes place at the New Frontier Theatre in Manila and will showcase ten competing artists and their songs.
How to Watch and Vote
The show will begin at 15:45 CEST (21:45 Philippine Time). Filipino viewers can watch the live broadcast on ABS-CBN, ALLTV2, and Kapamilya Channel. International viewers are able to stream the full show live on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
Fans worldwide will have the chance to vote for their favorite entries through the Eurovision Asia website. Each user can cast eight free votes, with a requirement to spread those votes across at least three different songs. Additional votes can be purchased up to a maximum of ten extra votes.
Voting Weight and Results
- 40% of the result will come from a professional jury panel.
- 40% will be from Filipino viewers’ votes.
- 20% will be from the "Rest of the World" vote, representing votes cast outside the Philippines.
The voting window will open during the broadcast, with host Vice Ganda announcing when to vote.
Hosts and Venue
Renowned Filipino entertainer Vice Ganda will host the event, guiding viewers through the night’s performances and voting process. Alexa Ilacad will host from the green room, providing introductions to each competing artist.

The ten acts competing come from diverse backgrounds within the vibrant Filipino music scene, including well-known talents like:
- AJAA – A P-Pop boyband known for energetic performances and recent accolades as Best Rookie P-Pop Group.
- Carmelle – Reality competition standout with rapid rise in popularity.
- DNA – A P-Pop girl group composed of three sisters, earning early award nominations.
- Elha Nympha – Winner of The Voice Kids 2015 with powerful vocals and a solid music career.
- Esang de Torres – Child prodigy and musical theatre performer.
- Lance Reblando – Multi-faceted actress and singer with strong vocals and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
- Russ Narcies Cabico (Nar) – Grand Champion of Superstar Duets, multi-talented songwriter and producer.
- Jason Dy – Winner of The Voice of the Philippines season 2 known as the “Prince of Soul”.
- Sassa – Emerging talent from multiple singing competitions with powerful vocal delivery.
- JM Dela Cerna & Marielle Montellano (JMielle) – Duo who won Your Face Sounds Familiar season 4 demonstrating strong stage presence.
The full list of artists includes other notable names such as KHIMO, Ryssi Avila, John Mark Saga, VVINK, and Russu Laurente, all bringing unique styles to the competition.
