Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has confirmed its plans for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest set to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria in 2027. The national selection event, EUROVIZIJA.LT, will return with a five-night competition across January and February to choose Lithuania's representative.

EUROVIZIJA.LT 2027 Schedule and Format

The selection will begin with four semi-finals scheduled on January 18, 19, 25, and 26, leading to the grand final on Saturday, February 20, 2027. From the submissions received, a minimum of 30 songs will advance to compete in these shows.

One notable change in the selection process for 2027 is that public voting will be exclusively online. The online votes will be combined with scores from an international jury panel to determine the winner who will represent Lithuania in Burgas.

Call for Entries

The submission window for songwriters and artists is currently open and will close on November 11. LRT encourages Lithuanian composers and music creators to submit their entries for a chance to take part in EUROVIZIJA.LT 2027.

Lithuania's Eurovision History

Lithuania first participated in Eurovision in 1994 with "Lopšinė Mylimai" by Ovidijus Vyšniauskas. After a long break, the country returned in 1999 and has participated regularly since. Despite not having won the contest yet, Lithuania has qualified for the final more times than its Baltic neighbors Estonia and Latvia, including every contest held in the 2020s to date.
