The Republic of Korea marked a milestone in its Eurovision journey by hosting its first-ever National Selection show, Korea's Next Wave, on 4 September. This event was organized to select the country’s debut representative for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest Asia hosted in Bangkok.
Eight artists competed in the selection, with the public, a professional jury, and international viewers all contributing to the final vote. The scoring system allocated 40% to a professional jury, 40% to viewers in South Korea, and 20% to the Rest of the World vote.
Ultimately, JUNHEE emerged as the winner with his song DEEP DIVE, earning the honor to represent South Korea. Following him in second place was Sojeong Shim with EHERADIYA, and third was the duo Angel Noise with Nan Naya !.
Korea's Next Wave was hosted by K-Pop star Jo Kwon and was produced by broadcaster ENA. The full national selection show is available for viewing on the Eurovision Song Contest’s official YouTube channel alongside other Eurovision Asia national selections.
JUNHEE is a solo singer-songwriter whose music style blends pop, R&B, and dance, aiming to deliver positive energy through bright, popular melodies.
