On 4 September, the Republic of Korea held its first-ever national selection show, Korea's Next Wave, to choose its entry for the debut Eurovision Song Contest Asia event in Bangkok.

Eight acts performed, with the winner decided by a combination of votes from a professional jury (40%), Korean viewers (40%), and an international vote (20%).

JUNHEE emerged victorious with his song DEEP DIVE, earning the right to represent Korea at Eurovision Asia. Following him were Sojeong Shim with "EHERADIYA" in second place and the duo Angel Noise with "Nan Naya !" in third.

Hosted by K-pop star Jo Kwon and organized by broadcaster ENA, the show was streamed live on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel alongside other national selections for Eurovision Asia.
