The Republic of Korea is gearing up to make its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia with a vibrant new national selection show called "Korea's Next Wave." Scheduled for Friday, 4 September at 16:00 CEST (23:00 KST), this program will showcase eight artists competing to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia grand final on Saturday, 14 November in Bangkok.

How to Watch and Vote

Viewers in South Korea can watch the show on broadcaster ENA, while international fans can stream it live on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. The approximately 90-minute show invites fans worldwide to participate in voting, which is free and accessible via the Eurovision Asia website. Voters can cast up to eight votes across at least three songs.

Voting contributions come from three sources: 40% from South Korean public votes, 20% from international public votes, and 40% from a professional jury panel. The voting window will open during the broadcast.

Host and Jury

K-Pop superstar Jo Kwon—a singer, TV presenter, actor, and member of the boyband 2AM—will host the event. A panel of esteemed judges from the music and entertainment industries including JOO YOUNG HOON, CHAERINA, Yoonhan, Hyungtag Lee, and KLOZER will provide expert commentary after each performance.

  • Younghoon Ji: Singer-songwriter fusing rock energy with pop sensibility, with experience on notable Korean music programs and soundtracks.
  • 9278: A university-formed band covering rock, R&B, and ballads, capturing their contemporary feelings and thoughts in songs.
  • PLZY: A singer-songwriter delivering calm, reflective pop and R&B music inspired by ambient sounds to offer comfort and warmth.
  • JUNHEE: A pop- and dance-focused solo artist aiming to spread positive energy, balancing his roles as singer and CEO of his own agency.
