Laos has chosen Thinla to represent the country in the first-ever Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which will take place in Bangkok on 14 November. Thinla's song "BAE" won a national selection broadcast by Lao broadcaster VTE9 on 23 September, where she performed three competing songs.

Voting was open worldwide, and "BAE" emerged the winner, becoming the first song to represent Laos at the contest. Thinla, also known as Thinlamphone, has been active since 2021 releasing over 20 tracks. She blends traditional Lao music style Morlum with modern genres like pop, R&B, and dance, gaining fans across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Before Eurovision Asia, Thinla represented Laos internationally at South Korea's Round Festival in Busan, and has showcased Lao music at ASEAN summits and ceremonies, promoting Lao cultural heritage on a global stage. She recently toured the United States, growing her international audience.

Thinla aims to reshape perceptions of Lao music worldwide and inspire other Lao artists to reach new heights with their music.
