Sal Da Vinci, the stage name of Salvatore Michael Sorrentino, is set to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Born in 1969 in New York during a tour of his father, Mario Da Vinci, a famous singer and actor, Sal began his artistic career at the young age of seven.
Over the years, Sal Da Vinci has built a successful career in music and theatre. He won the Canale 5 Italian Music Festival in 1994 with the song Vera, which gained popularity in Latin America as Vida. He has also starred in various theatrical productions, including leading roles in Opera Buffa del Giovedì Santo and the musical C'era Una Volta…Scugnizzi.
